ICTA conducted an update for the importation of ICT equipment in the country

ICTA (Information and Communication Technologies Authority) published in the Government Notice No. 164 of 2019 the clearance to import ICT equipment Regulation 2019.

In the said regulation also published on the website of ICTA, importers of equipment will have to undergo certain obligations before importing their equipment. This decision comes into force on 1 October 2019 as stipulated in the new regulation. Now some equipment based on their categories must register online on the regulator’s website for an import license in the country. Also, some equipment is prohibited from being imported into the country. Recall that all the conditions depending on the equipment category are specified on the website of ICTA. This diagram shows a list of equipment prohibited for importation into the country.
